Terms of Service

1. The Service

MingLi · Chinese Oracle provides automated BaZi (Four Pillars) chart generation and narrative reports based on birth date, time, and gender information you submit.

The service is offered for entertainment and personal cultural exploration. We do not provide licensed counseling, medical, legal, or financial services.

2. Accounts & Sessions

We use anonymous browser sessions (via cookies) to associate purchases and generated reports with your visit. No username or password is required.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your session cookie and any report links you receive. Shared report links may be viewed by anyone who has the URL.

3. Purchases & Reports

Each paid purchase unlocks one personalized report for the birth details you submit at checkout. Prices are displayed before payment and may change with notice on the website.

Payments are processed by our payment partner (Creem by default; Stripe if configured). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Unless required by applicable consumer law, digital readings are generally non-refundable once a report has been generated. Contact legal@lurkfeed.com for billing disputes.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including: attempting to bypass payment controls; automated scraping or bulk generation; reverse engineering our algorithms; uploading malicious code; or using the service for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

5. Report Content & Sharing

Reports are generated for your personal entertainment. You may share report links at your own discretion. Once shared, anyone with the link can view the report content.

Do not submit birth information for another person without their consent where required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and download reports you have legitimately obtained for personal, non-commercial use.

All other rights in the website, software, and content remain with MingLi · Chinese Oracle and its licensors.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC READING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MingLi · Chinese Oracle and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

9. Modifications & Termination

We may modify these Terms or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or limit access for violations or operational reasons.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the operator's jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your location.
